Introducing Henry Furniture Co.

My wife and I moved to Baltimore last summer in search of change. She had decided to go back to school, and I was looking to try something outside of software. We spent a few weeks on a makeshift futon in our new apartment before deciding that it would be a good idea to replace the bed we had left in Seattle.

In hunting for furniture, I stumbled across a beautiful bed frame on Etsy made by a local Baltimore furniture shop. Looking through their portfolio, I discovered that the shop was only a mile away. I sent an email, which turned into a visit, which turned into more emails, and eventually into an apprenticeship.

Since starting as an apprentice at Dylan Design Co. last year, I’ve discovered a new passion in woodworking. It’s been a constant, challenging learning process. But the satisfaction I’ve experienced from working with my hands has been incredible. With the support of my wife, mentor, and friends, I’ve decided to take the next step.

Today, I’m happy to (formally) introduce Henry Furniture Co. – my first dive into professional furniture design and fabrication. While I’ve been gearing up for this for several months, I now have an early portfolio and website that I think is ready to share.

Thank you for visiting, and for reading this far. Please feel free to email me at tom@henryfurniture-173b26.ingress-bonde.easywp.com with any thoughts, questions, or feedback. I’d love to hear from you.

Hope this finds you well,

Tom
